One of the most charming hill Station in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, the word Auli drive from ‘Meadow‘and situated at an elevation of 2,500 meters (8200 ft) to 3,050 meters (10,010 ft) above sea level.
The place Auli is surrounded by the mighty peaks of Himalayas like Nanda Devi , Kamet, Dunagiri and Mana Parvat.Most of them have some name of goddess or some mythological connection. Narsingh Temple – A Symbol of Hindu and a winter sheet of shri Badri Vishal Temple, here is worship for 6 months in winter due to heavy snowfall in Badrinath Dham.
Tapowan- Famous place just 15 kms away from Joshimath, Bhavishya Badri is one of Panch Badri Temples located at an height of 2744 metresBhavish Badri one of the Punch Badri.

Cable Car Ride
Cable Car Ride is the most popular & one of the major attractions in Auli which offers the Himalayan views. It covers the distance between Joshimath & Auli.
It is one of the highest & the longest ropeways in Asia after Gulmarg & covers a distance of 4 kms.
Auli cable car also called Gondola locally & it connects Auli with Joshimath. It charges Rs 1000/- per person(round trip).
Festival
Auli Carnival or winter carnival which is one of the most popular festivals takes place in winter months in either January or February. The most important Skiing competition concluded on Monday. The carnival included snowboarding race & cultural programmes.
This carnival has the best crowd as the participants come across the world. Ice skating & flurry skiing activities attracts the spectators. The event is being organized by the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam, Winter Games Association Uttarakhand & Uttarakhand Tourism Development.
