The diverse trails and forested areas, such as Chilla and Motichur, provide opportunities to observe a wide range of birds in their natural habitat.
Wildlife Encounters: While birdwatching, you may also come across other fascinating wildlife species that call Rajaji National Park home. This includes Asian elephants, tigers, leopards, and various species of deer and antelope.
Guided Birdwatching Tours: To make the most of your birdwatching experience, consider joining guided tours led by knowledgeable naturalists and birding experts. They can help you identify various species and share insights into the behavior and ecology of the birds.
Responsible Birdwatching: As with any wildlife activity, it's essential to practice responsible birdwatching by maintaining a respectful distance from the birds and their habitats, avoiding disturbance, and adhering to park regulations.
Best Time to Visit: The best time for birdwatching in Rajaji National Park is during the winter months (November to February) when migratory birds are present. However, birdwatching can be enjoyed year-round, with different species active during various seasons.
